<![CDATA[How can I get "line in sampling" to create an mp3 right away, without first making a .wav?]]>I tried setting the MP3 settings to "MP3 via intermediate wav file. Delete the wav file" but that doesnt appear to work for line in sampling.

Only producing .wav files for me too, despite basic program settings. sad.. will have to find another solution other than adding another conversion step.
