Encoding to flac, not all tracks succesfully encode...

I am encoding to flac with the new Flac.exe 1.2.1. Audiograbber successfully rips cd tracks, but then sometimes the conversion does not work and I get only some of the songs as flac files. I think the instance of flac being called does not include the full command, like a character limit....

I am having the same problem ripping tracks using LAME to convert to MP3. All was working well until the last couple of weeks but now although the conversion seems to take place and data is definitely being written to disc (I can hear the drive clicking) sometimes the converted file does not appear in the folder and gets lost. Most tracks rip fine but on a average CD album 2 or 3 tracks will be lost. I have tried various things (reboot, uninstal reinstall etc) but all to no avail.
I am now begining to wonder if a recent windows XP update might be the problem but dont really know.
Any Ideas anybody?

My issue was resolved by putting flac.exe and audiograbber in a folder simply called FLAC at the root of my c:/ drive. The songs I seemed to be missing when encoding had longer names than usual, but reducing the # of characters seemed to fix all my missing encoded files.
