I cant work on any other programs during ripping - can Audiograbber minimize properly to background so I dont lose window focus?

Should be entirely based on CPU speed. The slower the computer - the less the ability to run other programs while ripping. Bring up Task Manager and look at the "Performance" tab. If you are seeing high CPU usage - running another program might not be a good idea.
