Audiograbber Community

I have a Nostalgia juke box from Soundleisure and want to print the track names to the cards supplied. I have obtained the track names using the Audiograbber freedb option but cannot print them. Any advice?

What are the recommended settings for grabbing cdg for Karoake?

I am a beginning computer science and I would like to delve into some programs and this is very similar to a project I would like to do. So far I have been able to get into java and C++ a bit. Is there some tips you could share? Things like libraries or frameworks you would recommend to get me started? Thanks for your time! N8

I seem to have a problem. I am trying to copy tapes but audiograbber seems unable to do so without a list of track names, which i do not have (and which I dont care about). I cant make up and insert anything and i dont know how to tell it to just grab regardless. Any ideas???

Use "Line in sampling" from the File menu. Youll have to open the audio mixer using the button that Audiograbber provides, or double-click on the speaker icon in your system tray (it doesnt always open from Autobiographer), select properties from the Options menu, then click on recording (or drop down the menu to select the audio input if the radio buttons are grayed out). Some computers will allow you to select the Stereo Mix as the recording input -- this is what you want. It all depends on the audio driver and what it exposes to Windows. Otherwise you can use a splitter cable from the line/speaker output to go to both your speakers and loopback to your line-in and record that. If you do that, you will have to mute the Line-In on the playback mixer or you will get terrible sounds... Youll have to adjust the audio levels of both the playback and record to get a get level. You want it to be in the middle most of the time, with a few peaks up to 90-95%, but never over 99% or you will get distortion. I tend to keep the playback level as high as possible and the record level as low as possible to give the best recording level -- this gives the lowest noise levels.

I am wanting to download an entire 2 hour show from a .com radio show. the answer said go to settings and then freedb settings-but there were no instructions of how to set it up or that it would do it when I took those 2 steps or what settings I even need to have to do it- VERY new at this-

24 bit software are different and a major enhancement in sound recording quality; it,s not supported by this free software. under reserve you can try this : Use External Encoder in: Options, MP3 Options, Click Wave at the top and below "External Encoder". Note that you must have 24 bit encoder plugin (DLL) first saved somewhere in your drive; or you have to find a Ripper that do the job at 24 bit. Goog luck and please, keep us in touch. My issue was resolved by putting flac.exe and audiograbber in a folder simply called FLAC at the root of my c:/ drive. The songs I seemed to be missing when encoding had longer names than usual, but reducing the # of characters seemed to fix all my missing encoded files.

In recorded voice from audio input there are an additional voice, sounds like "charli" (?) - how to cancel it?

What do you want to do with the files? Audiograbber ist a cd ripper, not a file ripper!

i can receive xm radio on my lap top, can audiograbber save this music to an external hard drive

Start AudioGrabber with a right-click and Run As "Administrator" then every setting works or can be changed. (I think its an XP Pro thing...) Change Settings, Directory to store... from the Audiograbber folder to something like ....\My Documents\My Music -Yhosg

Audiograbber does not see new disks and I have "data track" stuck in the track name list and cant clear it with refresh. I have uninstalled & re-installed, but no change. Windows 7 - 64 bit. I am dead in the water!!
