I have used an older version which worksed perfectly but have tried with the new version and can only get the sound not the words. I have tried changing the settings to no avail.

On my Windows 7 computer, my audio plays through my HDMI: it feeds my Samsung TV, and I get my audio signal from the Samsungs audio output. The audio doesnt register in AudioGrabber. The HDMI and audio output are built into my ASUS M2A78LT-M motherboard. In General Settings - Naming the soundcard is set to "Realtek HDMI Output (ATI HDMI A" and under CD-ROM access method the Input Soundcard only has a choice of "Stereo Mix (VIA High Definition". In Windows - Control Panel - Sound - Playback, the playback device default is set to "Realtek HDMI Output"

I am using Windows7 & I want AudioGrabber to startup automatically when I insert a CD, can this be done?

If yes, how do I do it?

Hi,

When I record from a cassette, Id like to leave it to do both sides. But, it Audograbber will give up after side 1 finishes and starts converting to mp3.

Can I increase the time it waits for some input to something like 5 minutes (just to be safe) - that way itll do both sides without me having to look after it.

I successfully installed windows 7 x64 Audiograbber.
It works well in general.
Ive scheduled to record the sound of my card and you can record audio, every hour, 365 days a year.
But my problem is that records only 58 minutes. Ive checked everything but can not find where the bad and always "eats" the first two minutes of the next hour. What can it be? Thank you very much for your help. Greetings.

i have an HP touchsmart 9300 with a BDRom/DVD writer.
I continue to get "aspi" error on every song I try to copy EXCEPT the first one.
I have downloaded frog aspi, but not sure if this will work and am cluless as to how and WHERE to install it.

I have 64 bit Windows 7. Audio grabber used to work just fine, but when I tried today I started getting access violation errors every time it tries to rip a track.

I tried the solution of setting compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3, but then I instead got a floating point error when I tried again.

When I run a scan with Norman Malware Cleaner v2.05.06 on my PC, it show audiograbber.exe as being infected:
Running custom scan...
C:\Documents and Settings\StevenHomePC\Downloads\agsetup.exe: Archive infected
C:\Documents and Settings\StevenHomePC\Downloads\agsetup.exe/AUDIOGRABBER.EXE: Sandbox detected infection of type W32/InstallCore.FKAI
It then deletes the file. The installer on "http://www.audiograbber.org/download.html" agsetup183se.exe aslo does not work on my PC (Win7 64bit) - it comes up with "NSIS Error - Installer integrity check has failed."
Although Norman does not find any infections in this file.

So today I found out that AudioGrabber doesnt like to record if the drive is drive A or B. I assume this is a bug. Ideas?

Hi, there, I have ripped a lot of CDs with the latest version of Audiograbber.

I often have a lot of problems with the song list that freedb gives Audiograbber. Often I will insert a Russian CD, and freedb will find the song, but the encoding is garbled.

When I used a Cyrillic language checker, I see that the source encoding is Windows-1251 and and it is viewed correctly using encoding iso-8859-1

For example, here is sample text: ñïëèí ìàðèÿ è õóàíà .

This sort of encoding problems seems to be common with Russian albums on freedb.

When you go here http://2cyr.com/decode/?lang=en and input this and choose the source and output encoding as mentioned above, you get

сплин мария и хуана

Is there any way I can configure audiograbber or freedb so that it fixes these encoding problems? Also, is there any way that I can capture the data query result from freedb so that I can obtain the output as a text file? Thanks

See what Kessels wrote. I have this program for several years on my computer and suddenly Norman Security Suite detects that the execute file has been infected and then Norman delete this file.
Who can help me with this problem?!

I have Audiograbber on two different Windows 7 systems, both are 64-bit. The program works perfectly on both machines, with one exception: One machine has Windows 7 Ultimate and has no difficulties with the program, the other has Windows 7 Home Premium but the dialog box on this machine will not expand to show the whole box... the "compression" options are unavailable. I have tried to troubleshoot this, including changing the Windows "shell", but I cant seem to overcome this problem.

Anyone else has this difficulty or a fix? I wonder if my Home Premium system was running Ultimate if that would be the only fix.

Still looking for and would like an answer, but I have found a workaround... I found the portable version of the 1.83 Audiograbber (latest version), installed it on a flash drive and then copied the files on the flashdrive to my hard drive. The application works perfectly and I dont have to use a flashdrive for the application at all. There must be files NOT written to the hard drive that the full application installs, I suspect thats where the problem lies.

In XP the ASPI option is available for admin accounts but NOT available for limited accounts. Limited accounts only have the ANALOG option.

Limited accounts cannot rip CDs! (they can if they play entire tracks - but this is impractical)

Why? How is this fixed ?

Have downloaded audiograbber and it works, but in English, would like to have the dutch language.
Use Win7 64 with IExpl. latest version with all updates.
Please help.

There was a similar question, but the message produced was different... I used to use Audiograbber all the time and never had an issue, but now when I tried to run it, it just gives a message saying "Bits index is out of range". I figured I would just download it and reinstall it again, but the same thing happens. This is a Vista machine and like I said, it used to run just fine. Thanks!
